The Lectra Sox by Nordic Gear were originally designed for commercial fisherman braving the icy cold waters of the Northern Atlantic. As winter approached and the sea grew hostile, the fisherman were able to fight the elements and maintain their posts with the help of the Lectra Sox.
- extremely safe - low amperage eliminates all possibility of shock or burn, even when wet.
- On/off switch - easily turn the socks on and off by snapping and unsnapping the battery pouch
- Warms entire foot - the heating element is safely buried in a channel located in the toe area. Invisible to the wearer, the heating element is designed to warm the toe cavity, thus keeping the toes and feet warm. The wire down the leg does not heat.
- Washing instructions - hand wash in warm water with mild detergent. Use gentle squeezing action to wash and rinse. Do not machine dry. Hand dry or towel dry. Do not wring.
The Lectra Sox are designed to keep feet warm, but not hot. Engage the heat only after you begin to feel cold. Maximum benefit will be obtained by turning the socks on and off often. Do not allow the feet to become overheated. Although not necessary, if you wish to wear two pairs of socks, the socks next to the skin should be the Lectra Sox. Keep spare batteries handy.
